Verónica Franco Londoño

Veronica Franco is an Architect from Medellín Colombia. After graduating she worked for three years in a design firm in her city and then moved to New York to continue her studies. She is currently doing a msater program in Sustainability in the Urban Environment at CCNY where she is working on her thesis, part of a group of three. The research focuses on the importance of social-networks within communities to enhance preparedness strategies for future disasters. While addressing how to rebuilt the Critical Infrastructure, the idea is to work along with the CRIS team to have a better understanding of communities in order to shape plans based on their own potential areas of growth, than in addition to improving their resilience, these plans could additionally improve the people’s well-being.
