Jessica Coffey


Jessica Coffey is Associate Director at the Institute for Public Knowledge where she develops new research and programming initiatives between the Institute and its many partners across the university and the globe. Jessica began her work at IPK with founding Director, Craig Calhoun, in 2010. Her research focuses on sustainable agriculture and rural development looking closely at small-scale farmer participation in self-help groups. Her current project is on implementing low-cost high-impact climate change adaptation strategies and increasing financial inclusion for female coffee farmers. Jessica holds an M.A. in International Development Education from NYU, and a B.A. in Public Service and Global Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
